Vail Travel Guide
My husband and I had an AMAZING parents getaway in Vail. We skied a ton and honestly has the best time enjoying each other and this beautiful place. I put together a list of our favorite restaurants & things to do in this incredible place for any of you planning on traveling there!
Best restaurants for dinner:
La Nonna was our favorite restaurant in vail hands down. This delicious Italian food is comparable to any NYC Italian spot. Get there early and you can sit for dinner at their beautiful bar which is beautiful and has great bar seats.
Matsuhisa was delicious sushi! It’s basically Nobu and if you can’t get a reservation pop in to the sushi bar or regular bar for first come first serve seating!
Montauk Seafood Grill was surprisingly such delicious seafood in Lionshead Village. This place is right in town and has the most adorable vibes. Also has bar seating!
Places we didn’t make it to, but heard are great: Mountain Standard, Sweet Basil, Terra Bistro, Up the Creek, and Swiss Chalet for fondu!
We also heard the live music at Red Lion is a must and so is Remedy Bar at Four Seasons for drinks/apps before dinner.
Best Lunch:
We LOVED the 10th on the Mountain! This sit down restaurant is in the middle of the mountain so you must ski to it (or you can take a lift) and has amazing cocktails & lots of GF food options. We had the gf flatbread!
Tavern on the Square is great for cocktails/apps while overlooking the vail village lift and mountains! Bring sunglasses, with the snow glare it’s hard to see!
Other places we heard are great for lunch: Vintage Brunch, Little Diner in Lionshead, Game Creek, Mountain Standard, Sweet Basil, Mid Vail, and Pepi’s Bar & Restaurant.
